Got the notice that our TV and Internet will go up to $192 per month. I think they have the Buzz Lightyear syndrome, “To infinity and beyond!” Seems XFINITY hikes are akin to INFINITY!!! While we sit this weather out, my wife and I are searching for better/cheaper options. I’m open to ideas and feedback here.

We have Netflix and a hulu bundle that came with Disney plus and ESPN plus. My parents just dropped dish and got YouTube tv. If you want local channels and live tv it’s not bad for $70 a month. I’m going to pay them a little while college basketball is on just so I can watch IU. You can add up to six family accounts with it.

This is one we are looking at since my brother in law highly recommend the YouTube TV route, also. They’ve got a free 2 week trial and we might give it a go!

You get about 80 channels, the locals, dvr, tons of sports. Best deal I could find for the price and features.

We dropped cable and went to an antenna >20 years ago. My MIL has Netflix and set us up with a profile, my son got HBO Max and set me up a profile, my daughter recently got Disney+ and set me up with a profile, and my wife has Amazon prime. There's more stuff to watch than I have time or desire to watch.

With some good recommendations from y’all here and YouTube TV offering a free 2 week trial, we’re gonna hook up with the trial. We’ll see how it goes!

I have just a Roku box. I watch too moch YouTube. Son furnishes me with Netflix my daughter Disney+ and I get Curiosity.
Between all of them I spend more time looking for something I want to watch. I am not into sports but I do watch a little on the antennae TV.
If I can drop my landline and still have internet I am going to do that too. All that I use the landline for is to locate my cell phone around the house.

Sling TV
$35 a month and all the channels you can ask for. $5 per upgrade package. It's the way to go.

So far, I'm totally sold on YouTube TV! It looks like we can work a deal with Xfinity to keep them for the internet and then roll with YouTube TV for about $91 total per month. That's a one year deal so we'll have to figure something else when the time comes. I really like the greatly improved video quality of YouTube TV!

We went with a ROKU couple of years ago and like it. We added Philo for $20 a month, small outdoor antenna gets us Indianapolis channels. Pretty well gets us all we want.

I cut the spectrum cable out last year and went with youtube tv and sling. It wasn't a big savings but still a savings and I was totally fed up with cable prices and service. Spectrum does not have any limits on data usage. Does your xfinity have any data limits? I have heard of folks streaming movies and tv, then getting a huge bill due to going over their data limit on their plan.

I wasn’t sure so I did a check and we do not have any data limits. But, that is definitely something I will have to watch.

I tried it 2 different times. Very glitchy for me. Worked for a month or 2 both times but required a lot of maintenance and shows were hit or miss. It was essentially free though and easy to set up by watching you tube clips. We go with hulu and Netflix. Family of 4. Some working at home and other uses of wifi has maxed out xfinity data 2 of the last 4 months. Got a warning when getting close. No extra fees yet

No extra fees yet Have they started running orange county fiber out that way yet? We got a mailer about two years ago stating they were running lines but they would only hook up certain quads by the amount of people that signed up stating they would take the service. They had to have 50% of people in a zone and they would hook zones up in order of "want". Someone in my zone went to the web page and put every address in a mile circle around and were one of first zones in area hooked up. Anyway. Best internet ever had. Cost is under anything else comparable and zero issues since. We run video games, TV, phones, downloads all at once. We upgraded to their best business class and still pay less than anything else comparable
