Several weather outlets are showing snow predictions of 12"-24" of snow (for Rensselaer anyhow) starting Tuesday thru Thursday.
As long as we don't lose power, I am ready for it. Got the house loaded with firewood and the snow shovel and snowblower ready to roll.

I didn’t realize this was in the forecast and I’m back on a road job the next few days. Guess I better get MY snowblower out and running!

Got the house loaded with firewood and the snow shovel and snowblower ready to roll. A buddy text me on Thurs saying this. Said Chicago weather put that number up for South Bend area. But as esshup posted, it has dwindled down for us quite a bit. Would be a mess anywhere that hit.

Weather changes pretty quickly seems like. I suppose we'll just wait until Tuesday and see what happens.

Weather changes pretty quickly seems like. I suppose we'll just wait until Tuesday and see what happens. Now tonight on ABC Chicago, he said potential for 3-4 feet if all stars aligned in the right area. Yes, like usual forecasts are all over the place. THAT would be interesting to say the least.

Yep! Got the 36 year old Snapper snowblower out. Cleaned the dust off. Cleaned and dried the spark plug. Added the fuel mixture. Primed and 3 pulls later, she’s running just fine. That ought to ensure we only get about an inch or so!😎

My idea about snow forecasts is simple, I'll believe it when it's on the ground.

My thoughts as well firstwd I bought a new tractor the end of last year, so if it’s going to snow I want enough I can get out and play in. This little inch or less stuff can just stay away.

What the... I got sent to Baltimore to the CSX Curtis Bay explosion (Google it - I don't know how it didn't make national news) and we just got clipped by the nor'ester. Only ~1 inch of snow, but gale force winds today.
Based on this thread, I just checked the weather back home and the forecast is 3" of snow on Wed, 7" of snow on thurs, and -4* on Friday. I'll be happy to stay here until the weekend, but my wife isn't going to like it...

Probably doesn’t matter much where you throw out, just be glad to be in the water!

We went from 5-8" to 8-12" then back down to 5-8" this morning. But 45 minutes north is still saying 8-12".
