These semi loads going to the pulp plant, mainly to make pallets and what not, how much does the company pay per load? I understand board feet and all that but generally what is a load worth. Anyone know.
Sure be nice to get a load dumped at the house for firewood

Fibertech (Mitchell plant) pays $40-45 per ton and you get around 22 tons a load. By and large, a load of hardwood pulpwood is between $900-1000

I get a load of 100 inch delivered every fall, I like to keep at least two years worth cut and stacked. In addition I cut 4-6 cord from behind the house every winter. A load of 100 inch is 13 cord @ $90per delivered. One year I get birch/ash, following year I get Tamarack. I really like the tamarack as there is no ash, burns clean and hot. I really wish they would let us cut the dead standing elm/ash off the beaver ponds in the winter...but that is taboo because those are for the freaking woodpeckers!!!

But they may be anywhere from 8 inch’s to 24 inch’s most have a defect and the mill can’t use nice thing is it’s all hardwood no pine. Another guy I work with follows a tree cutting service to jobs and pays them about the same but he may get a load of soft wood or hard just depends on what they are cutting down. Works out good for both of them he gets cheep wood and they don’t have to pay to get rid of it.

Dad used to go to a sawmill and get cut offs as well. 30 years ago probably 20 bucks a truckload had to load our own, they may have been cutting RR ties so the size was perfect BUT you never really knew what you were picking up.

A saw mill just up the road that makes dunnage and pallets sells 100 inch slabs by the cord, they are banded in round cord size bundles. $25 and they will load them.

Not sure anyone around here will deliver a semi load though. Be a whole lot easier than cutting some place and moving it here
