Want to get a crossbow package for my grandkids for Xmas. (Ages 10 and 11) Both have youth bows but gonna be few years b4 strong enough to pull legal weight to hunt. Budget $400 ish. I know ZERO about crossbow so open to suggestions and recommendations. Both want to start hunting. Boy and a girl and wife and I have custody of girl. They will share the crossbow.

I am big 10 Point fan which includes Whicked Ridge. Made in USA just up road in Ohio. They have couple now under 400. You need to talk with Dave at Wyvern Creations. He has forgot more than most of us know about crossbows. Very nice guy too.

Personally, I would go with a 350 Legend. Zero recoil, deadly accurate and very affordable. Youth season is taylor made for just these situations.

I have been a fan of the killer instinct packages. They can be found at rural king. For well under $250

Get one with an adjustable stock. At that age they out grow clothes, shoes and crossbows in a very short period of time. With a boy and gril their pull lengths can be very different. Like a gun stock fit makes a difference in how well you can shoot.
