I use the cheap corkscrew things for dogs with a heavy duty zip tie on each one. Tie off the sides to them as well and she isn’t going anywhere. Love the double bull blinds without any darn zippers!

I am giving up on setting that blind this year. I'll just sit where I have blinds already or on the ground again.
I was going to fix it this morning but I woke up feeling a little rough. Too much cold wind in my face yesterday I guess.

I don’t think you have to tear it apart I’ve had or think I’ve had what your talking about I folded it all back up and with a bit of work got it undone.

Yeah, I'm going to prank with it first. But, the hubs seem pretty easy to remove/replace

Before you attempt any kind of repairs consult with the folks at Primos regarding what has happened, they were very helpful when mine got beaten up by the wind several years ago.

It isnt rocket science we have replaced a few rods but I did have someone with primos walk me through it. Their service is second to none imo.

Thanks, that's more in line with what I would hope for price wise. I have had my 2 Doghouse blinds for years and years. Great shape, by taking care of them, until my lazy butt left them out since turkey season. ALL ruined by wind storms. So really anything decent will be plenty good for me. Thanks for the info.

Checked out the double bull at Cabelas tonight. $400 will be tough to swallow!!! I was surprised she sprung for that. She got mine at sportsman's guide for $350. But, she's pretty adamant she doesn't want me climbing anymore trees. Other than my redneck ghillie blind, my others have all been under $100. They haven't lasted long. I kept them out all deer season and they'd get beat up pretty good. I gotta say, the fabric on the double bull feels pretty stout. One big improvement I made to my ground blinds was an expandable shower rod. I run it from the roof hub to the ground to prevent snow/ice collapsing them. They do sell rods for ground blinds but, not for $9 at Walmart.

Learning that you get what you pay for! Couple guys on other sites saying they have had their double bulls for 20-25yrs now. Cant beat that.

Mine is somewhere around 15 years old, worth every penny. Still works and looks fine. I use big tent stakes inside and regular small ones on the ropes if I leave it out or know it will be windy. I really don't think the design could be improved on that much other than the door zipper.

I really don't think the design could be improved on that much other than the door zipper. Mine does not have a door zipper. Or, are you suggesting that they add a door zipper? Since I have my Ghillie blind "U" bolted to my hay wagon, I still have the two large metal steaks that came with it. I intend on using those to help stake down my double bull.
