Been at my new job for a couple months now. Still in disbelief after so many years working for some of the companies I did.
Anyway. Already got $1 raise, just because. Easiest way in was to go temp to hire route. As long as you show up you'll be put on permanent. They ask 240 hours with decent attendance is only requirement to be converted. I just got my letter for conversion. Once that goes through, the first year I'll get 19 days vacation. Mind you that's working a 3-12 shift. Insurance is up there with many of the better companies I worked for. Quarterly bonuses depending on how the company does but there is always a bonus. Trying for my first step promotion and that will give me an $8 an hour raise. 1.5 after 40. If you work 7 straight, at least 4 hours per day, the 7th day is triple time. Holiday is 3.5. Two week Christmas shut down. Climate controlled environment. Did I mention I work 3 days a week? If anyone is near Bloomington and looking for a job, let me know. Company is hiring a minimum of 1500 more employees. Starting minimum is $19 i believe at the least depending on shift.. Only hard thing for me is being in Bloomington, a notorious liberal college town, is keeping my mouth shut in some discussions.

Well it came down either get it or get checked every two weeks at work but that was put on hold. They are going to end up going with whatever the court decision is in the end. They'd like you to get it, they will give your choice, they may suggest but they will not make you, imo at this point, until Supreme Court makes their decision and from what I've been told, they aren't going to make you get it period. That may change but is what it is now.

Guess I missed that ruling.👍 The mandate for military an government workers and contractors is still in place I believe with December 8 being last day!

From what I've been told, could be wrong or mislead, the option on weekly testing is in there somehow but companies aren't required to allow that option. Ours said they will and when the initial mandate came out, they allowed that option

Manufacturing pharmaceutical Like Breaking Bad style of manufacturing pharmaceuticals? Close. If you've been to a doctor or hospital and got any type of injection, odds are we manufactured it.

I know on the 14th Federal OSHA suspended the mandate. I don't know Indaina OSHA status. Ohio is not an InState OSHA. Ohio recognize Federal OSHA.

The other mandate for military and government workers and contractors "Executive Order 14042" is still in place last I knew.

MEH. Kids get their shots before going to school. Mandatory. Military get jabbed all the time. No big deal.
Lets see, what has largely disappeared in this country due to a vaccine? Smallpox, Polio, Measles, what am I missing? It's no big deal to me. I didn't turn into a 3 eyed monster, I wasn't laid out sick like many are from getting the yearly flu shot (or is that one flu shot and a yearly booster for a different variant?), my arm didn't fall off from getting jabbed.
I realize that it's a choice. It's a choice if you want to travel for vacation (not mandatory, you can stay here in the stares and go on vacation locally). It's a choice if you want to work at a company, there are other jobs out there if a person wants to work for one that doesn't require it.
It all boils down to your personal choice. Nobody is forcing it on anybody, it's a personal choice.
Just like going into a business and expecting to buy something. "No shoes, no shirt, no service." It's a personal choice whether to wear the correct attire or not buy anything there.
