Usually you read stories like this and much of the time it turns into an argument and a big mess. Nice to see two guys treat each other (and the deer) with respect.

In this day and age of antler worship this is a refreshing story.
I do think if I was the hunter I’d put in more than 4 hours looking for that buck.

In this day and age of antler worship this is a refreshing story. I do think if I was the hunter I’d put in more than 4 hours looking for that buck. Yeah not a lot of effort…. Side note most major record books won’t let you enter a Deer if you stopped looking and started hunting for another Deer.

Aren't the 2 involved cousins or did I get lost on the connection? The hunter and the guy that retrieved the head from the woods for his buddy were distant cousins, but the guy who paid and had it mounted was not related to the hunter. Clear as mud?? 😆
