Thanks. This is the first time I've used actual knife billets. The one's I made before were from files, saw blades, and industrial shears. I'll have to harden these in my forge. I've got an old horizontal band saw that I need to convert to vertical. It would allow me to saw these out much faster and more accurately than using an angle grinder with cut off discs.

I started grinding the bevels in the small blade. It was going good until the drive pulley on the sander started to crumble apart. It's the second pulley that has fell apart. It's a pretty old sander that I picked up a couple weeks ago for $20 Luckily I had an old motor on a shelf that had a similar sized pulley. I had to move the motor and remove some guides to make it work. I was able to finish roughing in the bevels on one knife.
