My wife is a a little picky on some foods. Some. So this has rubbed off on our boy Luke, until now. Finally, he is loving sauteed mushrooms, liking sauteed sweet Vidalia onions, and now enjoyed a fatty ribeye with those fixins on board. All things my wife would run from, lol. At least they both love all fish, most deer cuts, and turkey. He likes squirrel, somewhat, like me.
You would never tell by seeing him that he could be picky about anything! He is 5'10" and 200#, soon to be 11yo!!! I am 6'3" and a little over 300#, wife is 5'10" and med build. For reference, I was 6'2" and 235# in high school, and wifes brother is 6'5" and skinny. Luke has the potential to be a one man gang. Lol

A good steak topped with mushrooms and onions is probably my favorite meal.

My 12 yo is starting to cook. He helps wit breakfast and the grill. He likes to experiment with different seasonings, he's always been picky too. Forthe most part I let him do as he wants unless whatever he wants to try will taste awful.

I told him goals are good. He is ate up with football. On the flip side of that my freshman year I was 210 pounds and had to lose weight to wrestle varsity at 189#. Your boy is going to be a monster! Keep him well nourished and don't anger him!

That's a big kid! Be nice; remember that one of these days he'll be pushing your wheelchair.

I hated that but I got it done, I'm a grade school wrestling coach now and discourage weight cutting. It's not fun.

I will say most kids cutting weight is not healthy. I had plenty of reserves to cut. I did make weight finally then got sick and cut all the way to 170.
