Anyone know a GOOD one in southern Indiana area? Have a 11-87 20ga that I want to get drilled and tapped. Heard both ways that it's possible and others say the metal is to thin. Would like to find a guy that both will not attempt it because the metal is to thin but also has the ability to do it even though the metal is to thin, if that makes sense.

He is west 65 on SR 46 about a mile. Gary took my non screw in choked rem 1100 and cut it down to 24 in. cut threads in the barrel for choke tubes converted to a 3 in mag. It was my turkey gun and shot like a house a fire. If I remember I thought he said the receiver was to thin to drill and tap, but thats been 25 yrs ago. I do not have his number with me here at work, but I will look for it when I get hm.

When slug shotguns were the main deer rig in Indiana several years ago, pre-cantilever scope mounts, drilling and tapping the top of receiver for a scope base was commonplace. I've got a couple older shotguns this was done to. Any reputable gunsmith or machinist should be able to do this.

Eric Martin at EM Precision in Oakland City is the name that always comes up when I ask.
