Hopefully it stays that way. Most thought it’d never happen in nascar and then it did. Yeah it basically can’t be stopped…. Only wishful thinking I guess! Barring the confederate Flag started that spin!

I do not understand why this is tolerated in any sports setting, but allowing it in the Olympics is a real head-scratcher. You are there FOR YOUR COUNTRY. Anyone that accepts the accolades and benefits of being an Olympian and then turns around and spites their country is the worst sort of hypocrite. Because they can and they call it rights think of all the press it’s gotten I for one am tired of having this kind of BS shoved down my throat all because they are a TV star pro football player or someone who thinks they are all that and they are the only one with the right thoughts and ideas God help you if you say something that just might offend someone but I should just sit here and take it from them I for one am offended by this I’m all about the the right to pursue life liberty and justice for every man woman and child just don’t try and force your views on the rest of us this country was here long before you and your way of life and done just fine we may have our faults but it’s stil the one of best in the world

People, especially young people, have been told to lift themselves up, to do what makes them happy, to only seek what they want with no thought of others. When you have a country of people that are only self-seeking all the time, then it is no longer a country, rather it is a bunch of individual people co-existing on the same piece of land.

My youngest son Sam at 24 age calls it the ME generation and stated the girls are the worst of the ME's.

The original "me" generation are the baby boomers (who also were the first real spoiled generation).
Many of them were more enamored with money and doing whatever they wanted to do (including being married multiple times) than any previous generation. My parents were pretty traditional, my father went to work, and Mom stayed home. The boomers put an end to that as Moms went to work and McMansions, multiple cars and multiple marriages became "normal".
And what did their kids learn? It was all about money and doing whatever they wanted to. Families became "blended" and their kids became more spoiled than any previous generation.
As for today, it's only gotten worse. The amount of spoiled people in this country has only continued to grow. The problem is many of today's young people are head over heels in college debt and/or stuck in menial jobs that won't allow them to live like their parents and grandparents have. The middle class is disappearing and the younger generation seems to be some of the most unhappy people I've ever seen.
Before my post gets flamed, I know that many people aren't what I described above. The problem is, enough are that we've lost our way as a country and that's just sad.

One big thing this generation has that past ones is super size education debt.

I have no idea if this is computer generated or not but this is the reply that I got from them.
"Thank you for contacting us! Your feedback is appreciated, and I have escalated it to ensure that our leadership is aware.

What would you bet that USA viewership for the Tokyo Olympics will be the lowest in history?

This will just go on until people quit tuning in. Not until the TV money dries up will anything happen. With luck that is the last we see of her. 3rd in trials I doubt she will make it to the podium.

I agree but, she may make a scene somehow to try to stretch her 15 min. of fame, she's already made a stir cameras will be on her during competition.

Not the Hammer throw or even an Olympic Sport but my wife was a world class athlete in the skillet throw.

Not the Hammer throw or even an Olympic Sport but my wife was a world class athlete in the skillet throw. My grandpa told me my grandma could hit what she was aiming at when she threw a tea cup across the kitchen at him! No joke I think she was mad he was going hunting or fishing 😜 She nailed him right above his brow.

No, I haven't been following the games, but some things you simply can't get away from.
An American athlete, that may or may not have been vocal about social justice and equity, has a mental event bad enough that she withdrawals from the games after she finds out that she won't get all the points she earned because the other athletes aren't as successful as her.......
So socialism and distribution of wealth is perfectly fair as long as you are on the receiving end, and not at all right if you're on the side that is losing what you've earned? Imagine that.

Same here… there’s so much miss-information going around about her and her withdraw from the Team I stopped reading all the drama! I will go with what Jason in saying…. youtu.be/r-irE76G04k
