We have lost a good one. I read on Dave’s FaceBook page that he passed away this morning. Dave had been having some medical issues but I did not realize it was this serious. Dave was a long time member here I met Dave at one iof our youth hunts when he brought John Wayne to hunt and he helped out. He was a moderator here and did a great job. I am proud to call him a friend. If you are on FaceBook please stop by his page and offer words of condolence. He will be missed. /?d=n |

I’m sorry to hear that. He always had good things to add to threads and also knew when to shut them down when they were going south. He will be missed.

Sorry to hear this! Had heard of some health issues, but didnt know this serious either. I liked to talk TC's with Dave. My heart goes out to the family. RIP

Very sorry to hear this. Like others, I knew he had been having some issues. I too knew him personally after meeting here. He came to help teach orienteering at one of my Hunter Ed classes quite a long time ago.
Rest in peace and prayers for comfort for the Princess and the rest of Dave's family.

I had forgot that he called his daughter “The Princess”!
Her and her boyfriend (now her husband) came to a couple of our Youth Deer Hunts. Good times!

His daughter posted - "My father passed away very fast. He had a hard time breathing and asked to be taken to ER. Hospital said blood clot in his lugs or heart attack. He passed away before ambulance left driveway.
I cant figure out how to make a donation in his name to Operation Underground Railroad. There is nothing on the funeral Home page..
