Gonna be tough here for me I believe. Only seen two so far on the farm and a couple sets of older tracks. Tuesday I did see 30 or so on the farm across the road to the north of me. Also saw an eagle. Rare sighting in this area.
These birds should already been wandering the farm and roosting in the woods. Not looking good at all.

I had an eagle snatch up a roadkill rabbit in front of my house a couple days ago. Then on Wednesday, on the south side of Sandy Pines golf course, I seen an eagle. Other than at NIPSCO, I hadn't seen any eagles in the northern part of Jasper County until that point. Turkeys showed up again behind my house on the 23rd. It's usually not until the beginning of April that I see them at my main hunting grounds.   |

Seeing eagles regularly in NE LaPorte county as well.

One thing's for sure, next spring should be a good one. The one after that should be good too. IIRC the last time the x brood of cicadas emerged we had some great turkey hunting in the year or two after.
