The Natural Resources Commission today approved a change in the turkey hunting equipment. This change allows the use of 28 and .410 gauge shotguns. Through the proposed amendment, turkey hunters using shot sizes smaller than 7 ½ would be required to comply with newly added specifications for shot composition and density but the rule amendment would not prohibit any loads that were previously legal for wild turkey hunting in Indiana.
This rule will be announced in press release tomorrow but it will be effective under an emergency order before going to the AG and Governor. So it is valid for this season.

I'm surprised that they did an "emergency rule" on this. Glad that they did though.

Not sure I like the smaller shot size being a specific material.

Not sure I like the smaller shot size being a specific material. I do, because smaller sized shot looses it's efficiency quicker than larger sized shot.

Correct, but how many people know that information? Heck, I have lost a lot of faith in people after seeing that they cannot figure what bathroom they are supposed to use.
