I'm sure that was part of it. Months of layoff and no consistency!

Looks pretty cool. I have one tatoo but wish now I'd never got it. Just not my M.O., as you probably know tats were a BIG fad in the late 90's / early 2000's. If you like it I'm cool with it. Is it a tribal or barb wire arm wrap? I'm glad I didn't start with them until those were out of style. I don't regret any of mine. They all have meaning to me. I put some thought into them so I don't get anything that will look bad later on. I promised my wife I would get her name somewhere else since I covered it up with this new one. Neither, just a design. I saw a shoulder tatoo that i liked, circular with edges I made my own variation. It doesn't look bad in my opinion just wish I hadn't made that commitment. My kids, nieces and nephews ask about it and I feel bad when I explain that I don't think they should get one. In the end it's their choice I just wish I hadn't influenced that choice in any way because if I had it to do over again I'd never have it done. I will say I feel better about mine when I look at my brother's grim reaper though! Mom was really mad when she saw his, she was still mad when she saw mine but not as nad as when she saw his!

Straight up here! Before Greg’s post, I had to Google “tramp stamp!” Being a biker guy that you are I would have thought that you would surly have known what a TRAILER STAMP was but... then I remembered you ride a BMW. Yep. Got me there. Although, in the late 70’s, my main scooter was a 66 Triumph “Bonnie” and it was hard tailed, chopped out, and sported a gothic hand painted tank by Big Mac from South Bend. Now, I wish I had that bike back stock. Those days, I rode with a reddish beard or Fu Manchu half way down to my waist. Thought that made me a real bad a$$! Kind of a rebellious state in my life!!! But, nope! Never got a tattoo. I regret that I have never found a single pic of me and that bike!!!

So scrub, How did you “make” that arrow brand? A wire from the garage and a torch. I burned the shaft in and then I went back and burned each short line one at a time. Probably not the best way but it worked. I did it almost 2 years ago.

Ouch! What hurt worse ink or brand? The brand wasn't too painful. I think if the wire is hot enough it kills the nerves. The healing process took a long time and was painful at times. The tattoo wasn't too bad either. Some areas were pretty sensitive, like the inside of the elbow and the tricep area. Most of the arm wasn't bad. I have always heard around the outside of the elbow was painful but that spot didn't bother me much at all. When he was doing the tricep area I could feel it on my ribs. I guess the nerves connect somehow. He said a lot of people get that feeling when he tattoos that area of the arm. It was weird. It felt like I was getting tattood in both spots.

Here is the work I got yesterday. I'm a 29" draw. I used to think I was a 30". After a few of those I backed it back down.

It took weeks to heal. I've thought about doing another one but I don't know if I want to go through the healing process again. If I do, it will be done in the winter instead of the summer. I can't imagine how bad those college football players brands must have been. Those are way bigger than my arrow. I did the brand a few days before a bow shoot/camp. Bad idea! I had napkins shoved under my arm guard and the string was hitting it. I got a chest tattoo in a super 8 hotel room during that shoot and split my finger open while chopping kindling for my cook fire. I was a mess that weekend. I had bandages on my arm and chest and superglue holding my finger shut. I still had a great time.

If I got a tattoo it would be BOG LIFE arched across my gut like Tupac. But I don't think there is enough ink. Never had a desire for artwork or jewelry on my body. Mainly because I don't like needles....

Oh I forgot I branded myself one time back in highschool. The bic lighter smiley face. It wasn't as intense as the arrow but I was a tough guy with a smiley face on my hand. Rebel like
