I was at the Martinsville Conservative Club this evening sighting in a Remington 700P LTR in .308 and a Savage 111 in 6.5-284 Norma. I got both guns set at 2" high at 100 yards, which gives me a dead on hold at 200 yards and between 7.8" and 8.5" of drop at 300 yards (depending on the caliber). I effortlessly shot steel at 100 yards, 200 yards, and hit multiple targets at 345 yards with both guns. My buddy and I had no misses on steel at all. More fine tuning between now and hunting season, but it is a great start for sure!
It reminds me that I need to pull a few more rifles out before it gets hot out to check them out at longer range too. This really is a fantastic time of year to get out and shoot, but not too much because of the insane price of ammo.
