A friend of a friend developed the food allergy after a lonestar tick bite. He has reactions when eating red meat, dairy and sugar. What a cruel evil devil spawn those things are

#1. I detest all ticks! But if you're going to be outside it's one of those things you deal with. #2. Greg Hopper that's pretty cool. #3. To me, I find wayyyyyyyyy fewer ticks on bottomland deer and turkey than I do highground deer and turkey. Why is that? These animals have to get away from the water so they are where the ticks are at some point??? For example Posey county deer have virtually zero ticks on them Perry county deer on the otherhand have TONS of them. Ive seen the same difference in Pike County bottom ground deer will be void of ticks where as coal mine spoil bank deer I've seen deer that were covered. Probably has to do with flooding but deer in Posey have very few even if they are not along either river. Anyone have any idea why?

I'm not sure why deer from different areas have different number of ticks but you reminded me of a couple times that I went fishing at an old mined area and came home with 30+ ticks both times.

I know they like pine needles. Years ago I was changing a broken axel on my ford 9N , I had hit a hole while bush hogging for my sister. I was laying down in the pines on a nice bed of needles when I noticed the ground was covered with ticks, millions of em. I’ve never seen so many ticks than in those pine needles on the ground. Yuk!
