how to do a screenshot on a pcIf you can’t read it I can send to you A plumber I work with a lot at work says they are a decent toilet seems to have a good flush for a water saving toilet finish looks good I do know I paid I believe 10 or 20 bucks more for color over white I have a 5 foot walk in shower in my master and the only way to replace it would of been tearing out walls and it’s still in good shape so I stayed with biscuit seems white is more common again today for showers tubs but biscuit is still being sold and I kind of like it myself over white

That walk in shower looks like something we did in La Jolla, Ca. for an efficiency apartment. The lady wanted it all tiled. THE WHOLE THING. So we did. Whole bathroom was tiled, toilet was INSIDE the shower, closet was tiled, even the ceiling, the whole living room, kitchen, even the breakfast nook was tiled. Tile went up the wall like wainscotting. 12" sq" Mexican pavers, got the kitchen sink and bathroom sink from a place in Rosarito Beach, Mexico. Hand painted, then glazed. Looked phenomenal, and paid less than 1/2 the price it would have cost here in the States. We took a day and drove down to get them plus the tile.

Got 3rd coat of mud on half the bathroom last night while the kiddos were sleeping. going to tackle the other half tonight when I get home. Tomorrow night some sanding needs done. Then off to the next phase of the bathroom on tuesday, wednesday and thursday. My 3 days off this week. Hopefully she can decide on what color of paint she wants and if the stars line up just right maybe the 3rd bathroom for the house will be done. Then on to the trim, something I can really sink my teeth into.

That placement does look more and more practical the more I think about it. I've looked at several options for adding a shower to my small half bath off the main BR, and I think this would actually work better than the alternatives I've found.
Yeah, it does look like a joke, but many of us seniors are using a seat of some sort in their showers and this looks like a do able space-saver that could actually work. Probably would have to be a DIY project, and might be a dubious asset for resale value, but removing it should be relatively simple if needed, and meanwhile I'm thinking having it there would beat not having it because there just wasn't room for a separate shower.
In my case, the toilet location could remain at its current spot as would the sink, so there would be minimal plumbing changes, on the necessary supply lines for the shower head and an added shower drain with trap to tie into the existing drain from the toilet.
Thought the idea had occurred to me before, and I just realized it was when I was daydreaming about liveaboard boats back before retiring, and I noticed that several of them had done a very similar location of the toilet into the shower stall as a space-saver.
The tiny half bath was coming towards the top of my to-do list, anyway. This plan change would make the shower addition much quicker and easier than the other options I was considering. Thanks, treetop!

Russ I have not seen one done yet but one of the plumbers I work around at work told me that it’s starting to be a somewhat common thing to see a toilet and shower unit as one granted they are built as the home is being built They build and tile a oversized walk in shower with out a threshold on one end is a shower with seats on the other is the stool they have a water proof cabinet built in the wall for toilet paper he said it started out as a ADA thing but as older people saw it they decided to have them installed when they built
I see the the walk in shower with out a threshold a lot anymore when they frame them they drop the floor 2 or 3 inch’s than it’s built up with cement and tile the shower I have in my photos is about as close to ADA as you can get with out being one it fits in a normal tub/ shower space 60 inch’s but it’s 36 deep the normal tub shower is about 20 deep once you add the tub face wall

The one we did 30+ years ago (1996?) had no threshold, but the WHOLE bathroom was tiled with a pitch to the drain in the shower. Walls and ceiling was tiled too. Walls and ceiling was the smaller mesh backed tile. Floor was 12" mexican pavers.
