My mom caught an unusual mouse recently. It's eyes were white! I can only assume it was blind, but that did not seem to slow it down any. I suppose in a house it's other senses would do. Have you ever seen something like this? I suppose there should be two more?

When they freeze they get like that. That's what I asked mom, but no. Her and dad confirmed they were white when it was caught. ( She froze it to show me )

I just noticed the eye on this one that I shot with the pellet rifle in my elevated blind. Looks like it was starting to go white. Didn't pay any attention to it in August when I took the pic.

That isn't normal either! Looks like that one has white pupils for sure. Wonder what gives? I tried to find pics online, figuring it must have happened before-- but predictably came up with "Three Blind Mice" junk. lol

A pet-care site suggests a severe infection can cause scaling-over of the eyes resulting in blindness.

Has anyone been putting out rodent poison. Some poisons cause the internal organs to dry up.

Make sure it's in a dry area. When they eat it, the plaster of paris plugs up their intestines and they croak.
