Anyone make any?
As they were made to be broken, I truly resolved to not post "pot stirring" post or comments on here or Facebook. As anyone that knows me and my wife will surely tell you, one of my biggest hobbies. Sometimes she'll walk in the room and I'll be giggling to myself and she just says, again? With due respect to @woody, I try to distance his pages from my shenanigans but sometimes it's just not dueable.
Anywho. I made it to about 9am on January 1st.

At least you made it 2.5 minutes

Not really resolutions but I have a few goals. Would like to plant a food plot or two on my father in law's farm to hopefully hold more deer after the crops come down. Have never attempted a plot so that gives me something to learn about and pass the time until next fall. Another goal is to gain permission on an additional property. No matter the size. I know its possible. I have a buddy that gains properties every year by door knocking. And he kills good deer every year. So this off season I am going to make it a point to prospect and knock on doors. Even if I dont gain a property I think its more about making oneself make the effort. Tried it a few times last year and got denied but I got over the initial fear and refined my tactics. Plan to revisit one particular lady who I could tell was on the fence.

Lose more weight. Dropped close to 30 last year, put 10 back on. Gotta bet back on the wagon again.

Lose more weight. Dropped close to 30 last year, put 10 back on. Gotta bet back on the wagon again. I go through the same process every year. Starting the first Monday in January (tomorrow) I cut out almost all carbs from food. The only exception being thin crust pizza on Saturday evenings. Absolutely no chips, bread, potatoes, candy, desserts, etc. I limit myself to one beer at most Monday-Thursday, a few more on weekends. I switch from full-flavored IPA's to lighter, session pale ales. I never drink soda anyway, so that's not an issue. I always exercise before work year round, but now I hit the treadmill and eliptical after work when possible. I'll drop 12-15lbs by April. I can relax my restrictions a bit, but still maintain my weight because outdoor activity starts to pick up with better weather and longer days. I'm a walking fool and can get 22k+ steps in when conditions are right. Fall creeps in and physical activity slowly diminishes with the shorter days and weather. However, I'm not disciplined enough to reverse bad habits and I'll slowly add weight. Here I am, first of January, and I'm right back where I started.

My resolution is be a brighter magi to the world. Matthew 5 KJV 14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Upright and breathing, with everything going on. I have to set my goals very, very low. Who knows I may join esshup and think about getting rid of my friend if things start looking up.

Not trying to change the subject but now is a good time to start asking, farm's are a little less hectic in the winter months. Start small and ask to small game hunt for now, even if you dont do much small game hunting. Maybe by fall they will trust you enough to deer hunt. I used to rabbit and squirrel hunt some of my properties 2-3 years before asking to deer hunt.
