I have read the rules and I have not come up with a conclusive answer. Question: If I am bow hunting from December 26th until the end of season, I am required to wear orange in the counties that have the special late season. Now, what if I am in a county that had the season, but the public property I am hunting doesn't have the special season? Obviously, I will call the DNR for clarification, but what do you think?

Just like if you are squirrel hunting during deer firearms season, you are required to wear orange, if you are bow hunting during a concurrent firearms season, I believe you must wear orange.

Found this on the IDNR website, which explains it:
Hunter Orange Requirements Hunters, including those using archery equipment, must meet hunter orange requirements while hunting for deer during the following seasons: firearms (Nov. 14-Nov. 29, 2020), muzzleloader (Dec. 5-20, 2020), deer reduction (Nov. 14, 2020-Jan. 31, 2021 in deer reduction zones), and special antlerless firearms (Dec. 26, 2020-Jan. 3, 2021 in open counties).

And wear good bright hunter orange. So many times I see hunters wearing just a 20 yr old dingy stocking hat that can barely be seen in the woods. CO at Atterbury years ago used to pull a card out that was compared to your hunter orange and if it wasn’t within the range on the card you were first given a chance to change to something else or given a ticket.
