I took it Wednesday. Not dead yet My son in law is a respiratory therapist at Deaconess and he gets his today. My daughter had Covid and recovered quickly from it. He never tested positive through all that. Woodmaster was exposed to a fellow worker who was posititive and Now Woodmaster is positive and is quarantined. His wife is waiting on her test results. Neither are showing any symptoms yet. God has extremely blessed me with a large family. We are forgoing the family Christmas this year as we have seen how easily this stuff is spread.

Our family is also putting the breaks on for the big Christmas get together. I hate it but it is necessary. Mom has cancer and we've got some newborns this year hoping and praying for next year.

My brother, mom at 88, sister n laws, my son Sam and other nieces and nephews has had it. All around the same time. None needed any hospitalities. It was treated like a flu virus back then. My brother and Sam did get it bad, but this was after Christmas and early January, just before the fear mongering started. My brother and son took 2 months to beat. They all took honey with wax everyday at one point and I think this helped a lot. My brother at xmas started it through the whole families. We know it was my moms last one so all 16 grand children at xmas, 8 great grand and 3 great great grand where all there. Huge get together. My wife felt bad for a couple days. I made sure every family got honey to take every night. That's why I didn't have many extras to sell. Family 1st. Both Sam and my brother lost their taste for a few days. We are sure if was corona verses the flu.

I was on the fence for a long while till I researched mRNA and the testing process. All of the testing standards were met, the only difference was the ability to run phases of testing concurrently and removal of redundant bureaucratic red tape.
This vaccine tech is the future of flu vaccines.
If the CDC misses the mark on prevalent flu strains, with mRNA tech theyll be able to mass produce flu vaccines on the fly. Its game changing.

I'm not in any hurry to take it, personally. Not so much a lack of trust for me as it is that I'm probably more comfortable than most with the level of social distancing we've been achieving for these last 8 months or so. Being retired for a while, we were in a better position than most to just hunker down and rely on reducing contact as much as possible. Our family is small, one son and a daughter in law that we're very much missing but we're high risk and so are they, and we've been in contact using Zoom. It's not the same as personal contact, but it's safer for all concerned.
Our son is a health and safety director for a large corporation and is very involved with the virus and dealing with the effects of it on the company and on the employees on a very personal level daily. The stress level of making decisions that affect the lives of so many people has been pretty intense for the entire period of the pandemic, but he's seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now, still some months away but almost surely coming. Most of our extended family has been careful, but a few have had it and survived. WE have had a fairly big family reunion on my side for the last twenty years or so, usually in September, but it wasn't even suggested this year. Hopefully we can resume it next fall safely.

I’m 81 and my wife will catch up with me in January. Im in pretty good shape (for the shape I’m in) but she has MS.
Our age and her MS puts us in a different category than a lot iof other people.
Yes, we will take it at first opportunity.

I truly hope and pray that each individual that makes the decision to take the vaccine has the very best outcome. But, just like the flu shot, it's not for me.
I've been social distancing since the 4th grade and have gotten pretty good at it. I wear my mask while at work and while out in the public. I throw some rubber gloves on if/when I wonder into the local convenient store or food market along with my mask.

I heard that if you travel you might need proof of getting the vaccine, especially internationally. Without the proof you'd have to quarantine upon arrival or return. But that's just a rumor for now.
