Ok asking for a friend Since March how many of you have gotten a speeding ticket and how many of you have gotten a warning? My friend has been pulled over twice once in early November and once today. He got warnings both times, could this be a free pass due to the pandemic or maybe BLM movement? First time was running a light second time was 56 in a 45 my friend thought they were in a 55. My friend wants ti know if any of you guys are seeing the same trend?

Around here our officers have been too busy going to domestic violence and overdose calls. It seems like the only time they run traffic is when they are on the Federal overtime money doing operation pull over. For that money they have to average a certain number of vehicles per hour, but I don't believe there is a citation requirement.

The one tonight was definitely working traffic. Other one was ISP my friend was taking pizza home to the kids and the officer noticed the box and smell. That might have helped a bit when he asked about the place my friend got it from.

Nope. I am very aware of my surroundings, (and run a Valentine 100% of the time, just to keep me on my toes).

Not yet. Knock on wood! I would to say I'm not a racer anymore. Or most of the times. On route 9 cutting north from I-74 to I-69 I was going over 100 in a 45 back in 1988 I think. Funny thing my car only went to 90. After talking to the officer about football and hunting he let me off.

Usually the cruise control is set at 55 or 60 this one sliped past my friend. Odds are my buddy will be watching that posted speed limit a little closer.

I try to leave early enough that I don't need to speed. I've reached a point in my life where I'd rather drive a comfortable cruiser than a fast sporty car. I've only been pulled over once for speeding and that was in 1997. I was doing 70 mph through Vevay, IN. State trooper let me off with a seat belt violation even though I was wearing my seat belt.

I don’t drive near as much as I used to with working from home everyday. I do have a lead foot, but don’t get to let it loose very much any more. I went from at least 110 miles of driving a day to now maybe that much every two weeks or so. Was great at getting tickets in my teens and 20s. Had to take defensive driving class in order to keep my license out of suspension.

I do not mind the speeding as much as watching people blow through RED lights. I taught the kids to take a quick look both ways when they were first one at an intersection and the light turns green.

I'm a 5 mph over guy. The police never bother with me.

Running red lights needs to be ticketed, and a huge ticket. This stuff is rude, reckless, and it`s killing people.

Might be another reason for the leniency.
