Had to put our basset hound down today..he was 10 yrs old. He had started losing weight so we took him to the vet. He was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease where his white blood cells were attacking his red blood cells and it was killing his liver. We tried some meds to snap him out of it, but he continued downhill fast. We couldn’t stand to let him suffer any longer!! 2020...the gift that just keeps giving!!

Thanks fellas!! He was a good, but ornery ol’ dog that gave our family plenty of laughs over the years!!

Sorry for your loss and couldn't agree more about them finding a way to make a tough as nails man cry like a baby. This year sure has been one for the books.
The only solace I take from 2020 is the fact that in 24 days from now I can tell it to plant a big ol' juicy wet kiss on my hairy butt. Sorry for the language, I'm just over this year, been that way since about march when the schools went virtual.

While I remain optimistic, I have a sinking feeling that 2021 will be a continuation of 2020, at least the first 8 months or so. I hope I'm wrong and I hope that it doesn't continue for the next 4 years. and that's the last I will say about that so I don't pee off Woody.

So sorry about your dog. I dread what you just went through.Mine will be 16 this month, that’s about it for his lifespan they say. I thought I’d have to put him down over a year ago from the crippling arthritis , he could barely walk. I started adding turmeric to his dog food and within a week he was rolling on the ground like a pup, couldn’t believe it . He’s hard of hearing and getting cataract in his eyes but his nose for deer is unmatched. Every night when I get home from work I make it a point to give him a good scratching and a treat because I know all too soon I won’t be able too. Once again my condolences.
