A good friend of mine in Decatur county saw some scrapes this morning. (I haven't seen much sign of any kind!) I have a camera already watching a spot where a big scrape usually shows up. Hopefully I'll catch one or two.
Anyone else seeing much sign?

I checked a few days ago and found no scrapes. I made some of my own though. I did see several fresh rubs though.

I just made a scrape today, hung a dripper with Golden Estrus in it and put some Active Scrape in it after I made it. We will see what happens. I did this in an area that there is usually a scrape, and it is under a branch that I bent down and tied so it could be used as a licking branch.
The trees that usually had scrapes under them no longer have licking branches, the landowner wanted the trees trimmed up, so hopefully this works.

Yep. Figured it was from the small basket or forky that has been hanging around but got a pic of a nice mature buck making the scrape

I've been seeing scrapes for 2-3 weeks. Juice them up with a little liquid scent and put a camera on them. Great way to inventory your local bucks.

Hopefully I'll catch one or two. Anyone else seeing much sign? Primary scrapes have started to open last week. Cams are showing mature bucks starting to check at night. Everything on schedule. I moved couple cams over scrapes. As soon as I start to see daytime visits by mature bucks Its time to live in a tree....... Typically last day or 2 of October for me in Switzerland Co. Seeking and chasing usually follow 4-5 days later. Getting close.

I have not seen any. Even checking the usual branches and nothing. It's been weird here so far. Not much buck sign

Friday looking out the window that small buck was making a small scrape and rubbing his scents on the branch above. 2.5 year old 6 pointer.

Scrapes popping up everywhere on public where I hunt. Last week, I watched a 120" work a scrape and licking branch over for 15 minutes at 40 yards.

I've seen plenty of rubs but only a few scrapes. Saw a really fresh but small scrape Saturday morning. Looking at it, the dirt around it had only been disturbed once I think.

I was reading on Kentucky site several guys have seen bucks dogging does and not little bucks either. The color change and now leaf dropping seems to be early in the NW. Salmon are completely out of the rivers already. Seems like everything is ahead of schedule a little, so not surprised if the rut will be too.
