100 grains of T-7 and a 295 bullet is enough for the CVA and will kill any animal on the North America continent. Check their website and make sure they recommend using that much powder in your gun. h.h.

I,ve been hunting with one for 4 years. 100 grains is all you need.Mine is a tac driver with 100 grains of pyrodex and a 265gr. Hornaday sabit.

so any powder you put in over 100 gr is wasted or not needed.if it aint raining im going to shoot tomight after work.will try 100gr and go from there.

My muzzleloader will handle 150 grain charges, but I also use a 100 grain charge. I started out with the hundred grain charge, and never saw a need to go to the 150. You will save money also not using three pellets every time.

make sure you take out the breech plug and clean. 777 has a bad reputation for seizing the breech plug. use anit-seize lube and Teflon tape on the threads. clean the barrel with windex and wipe it clean and you should be good to go. h.h.

yes i found that out got home and was breaking it down to clean.cant even budge the breech plug, taking into work today and use the vise and big wrench i guess.definately will be plenty of lube when it goes back on.

I thought the Powerbelt instructions said to run a wet patch thru the barrel after every shot? I don't shoot these but I thought I recalled reading this?
