I tried something the other day, and it worked, but I'm not sure if it's a good thing, or maybe bad.
I visited my hunting shack last weekend and discovered that using my phone hotspot, I can log-in my laptop to Hunt Indiana, and everything else, from my hunting shack!
This might be really nice while I'm camping out there the night before season opening, but I'm going to need to resist the temptation to get on the internet during hunting hours.
I like Hunt Indiana, but I don't want to miss a deer because I was reading/posting on a laptop...

Self control isn't a bad thing π, but at the same time I'm the same way only I don't have a laptop with me

Idk that itβs much different.

Gotta have some thing to kill the time.

I dont have internet at home and that is how I use my CB. If your going to use it in your blind you better invest in a portable charger for your phone. I have one I carry to woods and that sucker will charge phone in no time.

If there was a laptop and guys found out it would quickly become a shooting target. Not taking that chance. Phone is bad enough.

We can't get internet at our house (unless we go satellite), so we use our phone's hotspots to access the web on the computers.
I have a solution to your problem at deer camp: LEAVE THE LAPTOP AT HOME!!!!!!!

I would be weary of subjecting a laptop to not only the weather conditions it might see in a hunting blind, but also to the pressure wave it would be subjected to if you discharged a firearm while occupying one...

I personally don't have a laptop but I do have a silly smart phone. I'd like to leave it in truck, but 1 never knows when a "accident" might occur and help needs to be called. On the other hand, I do kill the ringer volume just in case someone wants to be a smart a** and try to call me due to being jealous because they can't be where I am.

You could always turn it off and keep it with you. Battery won't drain down, and you have it in case of an emergency. I put mine on vibrate only when hunting.
