Yesterday, I plucked the 2020 Archers Index from my mailbox. This time they`ve added a little log book to track the date, County of hunt, Grid position of the hunt, and am/pm, start/end time. It also still has the Bowhunter Observation sheet with a wide selection of sighted animals pre-loaded across the top. I always think this is a fun little deal to add to my bowhunting season, and it apparently helps out the Division of Fish and Wildlife to boot.
Anyone else participating this season?
Here`s to all of us having a great many animal sightings to log for the DNR, and here`s hoping for great deer hunting success for everyone!

Never got one, no idea what it is. Fish and Wildlife asks for volunteers each archery season to track each hunt, and list where they hunted, what animals they saw, including and especially deer, and if and when kills are made. But they track a broad spectrum of animals, quail, turkeys, bobcats, etc. It`s just a cool way, I think, of assisting the DNR as well as making me think more about everything I get to witness while bow hunting. I doubt that it`s too late to contact Fish and Wildlife and ask to be a part of it...

Got mine today. I like the journal-style we are doing this year. I will definitely start requesting it back, as it will be a cool souvenir to have from each year.

One thing that strike me weird is both Ohio and Indiana DNR's. Up to 2018 I would get the Indiana form to fill out and not an Ohio. In 2018 and 2019 I shot Ohio deer and now I get the Ohio form to fill out, but not an Indiana form. Why, I hunt both every year and more in Indiana verses Ohio. I guess I need to shot one from each state each year!!! I guess one pitfall living so close to the border and being a resident at one time in each state.
