I tested it and found a lot of inconsistent ignition over my chronograph. as much as 400 fps with the same load. i was using FFF. I tried couple of different primers with no success. I like the no cleaning and clean burning of APP but the inconstant ignition caused poor groups for me. I used 250 XPT , 270 Speer Gold DOt bullets and 80 - 110 grains of powder. Try it you might get difference results than i did. h.h.

Ditto. It is also MORE humidity unfriendly than BP. Works OK in cartridges tho.
The only thing I use it for is (after grinding in a mortar & pestle) to test my flintlock lock after working on it. If it will "foosh" Shockey it will Flash 4F.

I called T.C. about some load questions I had and asked them while I had them on the phone about using APP, they informed me that they DO NOT reccomend APP because they havent finished all the testing with it yet. I've had great results with it in my TK 2000 ML shotgun for both ducks and turkey. I have never had a misfire and I I've had it in some pretty wet weather chsing ducks.
