Okay, If the state of Indiana allows these modern Highpowered rifles for deer hunting; then they should allow us to use a .44 Magnum in a rifle, if we desire. Seriously I doubt if the state will permit such use of this type of M/L though. A 300 grain bullet traveling at 2,900 FPS with a M.E. of some 5,600 Ft. Lbs sounds pretty close to a .375 H&H Magnum! It's a good looking rifle though!

It is still a muzzleloader one shot is all you get. A person could spray alot of lead with a semi-auto 44mag--Maybe a Ruger Deerfield. There is also a company that claims 2500fps with a 300 grain bullet with 5-50 grains of pyrodex. Does anyone have the numbers on hunting accidents on semi-auto slug guns vs. muzzleloaders?

I'm pretty sure that if a fat lumbering oaf such as myself can get to within 200 yards of a deer consistently, these things are useless. My T/C is more than consistent at this distance, I don't need the extra hundred yards.

Boy, what do they think we are Millionaires. Too rich for me. I have made some fantastic shots at Deer with my Savage Ball Limited Smokeless ML'er for around 700.00 Dollars. The Savage will shoot with the best of them, Really unless you are hunting praire or long range who needs it. I wonder what 2900 fps and me of 5100 does to your shoulder?

Badbull's are for "REAL"(?) hunters, and those with an extra $3000. How fast does a bullet have to pass through a deer to kill it? I don't get many long distance shots where I hunt.

looks like a nice toy if you have the extra scratch. Does anyone really need a gun that shoots 300 yards in Indiana? I never see shots past 150 yards. You would need a very steady bench to be able hit anything at that distance. My Ol Man treestand just wouldn't cut it.

Way out of my price range! I agree, that most shots in Indiana are 150 yds or less, more often then not, MUCH less.

Why on earth would anyone spend $2900 for a Bad Bull MZLR when they could order a Savage smokeless powder MZLR for about $400 with no problem.

I'd dang sure like to have one of those rascals, but don't see myself buying one anytime soon. I just aint that crazy about muzzleloaders. Only reason to use a muzzleloader in the first place, is because the law insists on it during certain seasons. Otherwise, those dang things can stay in the closet and I'll take a modern cartridge firing weapon any time. There are plenty of good reasons why the frontiersmen pitched those smokepoles in the trash just as soon as reliable modern rifles came around?
In regards to the 300 yard accuracy, that would be sweet. I could have a bunch more good bucks on the wall if I had a reliable 300 yard weapon around here. 300 Yard shots with centerfire rifles are easy enough to make on big game if you know where your weapon hits.
If I'm gonna blow that kind of coin on a gun, it will be a custom centerfire, however I wouldn't say there price is ridiculous, as it is a custom rifle, made one at a time.

Beautiful rifle-but I`ll never have it. As for the snob thing, or more dollars than sense, I don`t know. Heck, I`d LOVE to have a TarHunt slug gun, they are BAAD, but it`s more than I can afford.

Dollar for Dollar, Savage beats any smokeless powder MZ rifle out there. But as far as ballistics are concerned Smokeless powder in a MZ rifle does not give you any dynamic advantage over a conventional MZ rifle.
