Got one headed our way in the NW corner. Saying 70-100mph winds. I am at work in SB tonight, family is home in Rolling Prairie. Got the generator all set up, so all wife has to do is fire it up. Our power is connected with a thread anyway. Goes out all the time. If this storm pans out, its gonna be ugly!!!

I've got a buddy in Des Moines, IA and he got hit pretty hard. The power is out everywhere around him and a lot of trees are trashed.

Looks like the entire state may get hit pretty hard?
Nope,I was mistaken. I'm seeing on WTHR that northwest Indiana is likely to get hit with a heck of a storm heading that way. Hunker down, stay safe and have flashlights, and lanterns handy and ready.

Power is out here nearly at the Indianapolis-Avon line. The wind has calmed down now, but ahead of the storm, the wind was fierce. Knowing IPL, we'll be without power for HOURS.

We didnt get anything crazy in SB where I am. News showed lots of trees down, mainly N and S of us. Esshup showed us some pics of damage in his area south. Close call.

My wife and kid go to her mother's every evening when I am at work. They scooted before the storm hit. She left, then I get the alert from I&M that our power is out, with no restoration time avail yet. Lol. Never fails.

The warnings were out for NE In too. They said radar spotted rotation near Nappanee but I have heard any about them getting hit. The news had some video of damage at BLUE LAKE about 10 miles west of me. A friend had a tree top land in his yard. Got dark but was not bad here.

Home from work and nice to have power back on. Just sticks and leaves down in our area. Ended up with 6/10" rain.

Terribly off topic, but what the heck!
So happy that the power is back on, I decided to make up, and smoke a batch of bacon wrapped, stuffed jalapeno peppers I have been neglecting. The peppers have kept in the fridge for 2 weeks now, so I figured I owed them justice and put them to use finally.
While I wait, wife said there is a bag of snapped green beans and some bacon left in the fridge. Say no more, they are in the cast iron skillet right now with a sliced tater, onion, and garlic. Oh man, the house smells killer right now!

Got power back, something like 1:30-2:00 this morning. We had been asleep for a while. It wasn't too bad an evening though, we just sat on the back porch and talked. The simple things.

They reported 70 MPH winds in the Ft Wayne area. A woman was killed when a trailer rolled into another. That was South East of me but not far from my buddy that lost a treetop.
