By out of state, I mean farther than KY or IL. My neighbor is mostly a big game, trip hunter. He told me that elk, moose, etc. tags are scarce and more expensive this year due to people not being able to hunt in Mexico, Canada, etc. I have no idea if he is right or not.

We are still on to go to Kansas right now. Might visit my sister in Texas in November and do a little also.
Draw odds out west went nuts this year. Major point creep in Wyoming and Colorado had north of 80k more applicants than last fall.

My eye Dr was going on a Grizzly hunt in NW Alaska but he said the outfitter called to cancel it. He is on the list for next year. He is still going to New Mexico and Arizona, luck dog.

It's way past time to be applying for tags in many western states anyway, so this discussion is kind of irrelevant for many places. There are still a few states where you can get over the counter tags, but not many.
I'm going to kansas deer hunting. Probably Alabama or Texas hog hunting also.

As long as they don't shut down interstate travel, I'm hunting Kansas, Wyoming, Montana and possibly Colorado this year.
I'd say most of the forced cancellations are from guided hunts where multiple hunters are housed together, or those involving border crossings as pointed out above.
I do know that some states are putting in mandatory quarantines on out of state travelers. None that will affect me yet though.

I belong to a club in Alabama for turkey hunting. I have been thinking about getting my license now instead of waiting until March. In case they shut some things down. I know Kansas gave refunds to turkey hunters last year.

I might be hunting deer in Michigan this fall. It's a good haul from southern In. My friend just bought some property and a cabin right next to a huge tract of public land. He was even nice enough to build a bunk house. Now that I'm back to working 2 jobs I can swing out of state tags a little better. I haven't looked into the cost for out of state license yet.

Not sure we’re your headed if you go but occasionally I’ll go hunt with my buddy Steve he lives by Gaylord MI every deer I’ve killed there taste like pine cones not at all like our corn soybeans hay eating deer around here. Plus not that I’m a horn hunter but a 120 inch buck is a nice deer at least around his area

They all live in cities and can only hunt crowded public ground. I don't buy a license or hunt when we meet up at a camp in Kentucky. I just go to hang out and visit. I'll ask my friend about how the deer taste from there. I've ate some that he's killed before and didn't notice anything different.

If, and I mean IF, I have the money and there are no travel restrictions, I am planning on going back to the Yoop for a few days of big woods rifle deer hunting.
