It would be for ALL MEMBERS and it is a no prize thing.. just friendly fun and maybe a little bragging rights thing.
It was so important I don't even remember which team won last year..
We drew for two person teams and their combined score was their team score..
The rules were pretty simple. As I remember it is bucks scored however many points they had and does were 5 points a piece. With the Indiana liberal antlerless permit system in place this year does might be more important than bucks IOW - two does beats a 9 point buck.
Maybe to encourage people to pass button bucks they should be a no score? Thoughts on that?
All deer taken counts, no matter which state/province they are taken in.

Put me with anyone who will pass on small bucks, and shoot anything over 8 points. LOL. Plus I can take a few does as well.

I thought you got 5 points PLUS however many points a buck had? That's the way it was last year . Was it? I slept once or twice since then.. We can change the rule now before the KY opener if that is the forum member's desires. I floated a "no points for a button buck" rule and no one bit on that one. Should that also be included? I am open for suggestions...

Last year it was 5pts for a buck plus the amount of points. Button bucks should be worth "0" IMO because passing these up promotes statewide QDM. What do you guys think?

I think button bucks should count the same as does since they are tagged the same. During archery season its easier to tell because they are closer but in gun and muzzleloader sometimes you cant tell. Why should a guy be penalized for harvesting a deer he thinks is a doe and it turns out to be a button buck? QDM is a personal choice and shouldn't have any effect on the deer contest. As i see it this contest is about who shoots the most, not the biggest.
Are you going to count all deer? Are the military hunts and park reduction hunts counting? Some can kill four bucks if they are hunting urban, military, park and regular seasons. Thanks, H.H.

I think button bucks should be worth some points but not as much as does. Perhaps 3?
