Just like I did in mid-March, I've banned any form of news from the family room television. Back to Pandora during our morning routine. It is highly unlikely that I will hear the words covid, protest, riot, virus, asymptomatic, etc. while listening to country music.
The next step might be to uninstall the FOX app from my phone. Drudge was eliminated back in April and I don't even notice.

It's getting too hot to fish. Most of the home projects are done. Looks like it's time to get back to making beer.

I hear ya! I can't remember the last time I actually watched a broadcast. I do have the Fox news app but, I too am about to uninstall that sucker. I can't stand the anger that rises up within when I even read the news anymore.
The garden will keep me busy. And now that I still haven't found a second job, I may actually try fishing the deep ditch that runs behind my house. I've been meaning to for years but, never had the time.

I agree the media and news is getting worse and worse. There is very little local news. It 's doom and gloom, and what you said; all anger. I too, love to listen to music. Country, rock and at times a little classical. I've been reading a lot of technical science history type books from before 1960. There is differently a huge change in books and papers written from before the 60's that contradicts books and papers written after the 60's. The pre-60's papers are better written and more data information to support what is written. I'm been learning a lot and getting closer to the truths. Get your hands dirty and learn something old.

When I want to chill out I grab my smartphone and my Bluetooth headset and go outside on the back porch and listen to Pandora Country Music Stations for a while.

Isn't banning the news what NAZI GERMANY tried to do?

Isn't banning the news what NAZI GERMANY tried to do? Yes, and the media has not produced truthful news for a long time. There are plenty of good news examples, but they are being censored and just overwritten by the masses of media. It's sad they all say the same thing point after point. That's the sad part. The good is being over run by the mass bad media.

What is everyone’s take on NPR? I find it quite informative, slightly left but informative. Your thoughts?
