Your friend sounds like an idiot! I had a muskrat tooth puncture my hand and give me a bad infection. Can I tell you how many times people have looked at my friend and said "you're an idiot". Can I also tell you how many times I've been asked by a surgeon, "how'd this happen" and responded, none of your business doc, just stitch it up. 90% of my scars I have on my body usually, at some point, have resulted in someone saying, you're an idiot. Well usually dumb***. No doubt about it

I took 4 stiches in my ring finger due to lack of attention and hurrying to gut a deer. I slipped and cut deep nicking a tendon. The ER Doc hurt me more than the cut did.

Esshup wins, as for your friend I would just add the extra 6' of distancing. To increase your reaction time that is if something should go awry.

When I was 9 or 10 I thought I could grab the v pulley that was driving a belt conveyor we were using to move sand from the basement that we were digging to the trailer tp stop it quicker when Dad said 'That's enough shut it off". It DID stop, but my fingers were between the pulley and the v-belt. Luckily I only had to pull the v-belt back about 2" to free my fingers...... Hurt like the Dickens but nothing broke. Lesson learned though, and like getting your fingers in a car door, it's not something that I ever did again. (Yes, I DID do the car door thing too, and Mom or Dad had to open the door to get me loose.

Greetings Before skinning your friend, needs to read the book, it clearly states "Before skinning your creature raise yourself up off all fours and remove the knife from your teeth and be careful you do not get cut, knives are sharp" lol Regards Billy

First time I used my razor lite skinning one of my son's deer I decided it was a good idea to "rest" the pad of a thumb on the blade...no pressure or movement.......it just eased itself right through the glove and my skin

duffReading through these comments, seems like you're the only one not shocked to hear "my friend" did such a thing. Could it be because they've never met him or spent any time around him.
