Coyote urine should work, but not forever. Currently animal shelters are asking people to foster dogs. If anybody asks just say it's a foster dog and you can't quite control it, or you were just exercising it.

I was told this will work, I don't know I have not tried it, but get you a 5 gallon plastic bucket and a 220 conibear. Cut slits in the opening of the bucket for the springs on the 220 to fit in after you set the trap. Put you a can of tuna in the back of the bucket. Stake 220 secure. Set the bucket on its side giving easy access to enter the bucket. Place in an area where the cats that you want to eliminate only. This set will catch and kill all cats, coons, possums so be careful. Use this at your own risk, or just call animal control and let them take care of your problem.

We have a stray cat problem in our neighborhood. They Mark there territory all over everything including the front window of the house and my boat I’ve trapped and relocated 6 of them. The problem is that the 2 tom cats will not go into the trap. Shooting them is out of the question cause of being in town. Any suggestions on getting them in the trap or keeping them away? So, research suggests that trapping and relocating is worse than trapping and spay/neuter. If you get them neutered and put them back they still will defend their territories but not mark as frequent and most important not breed anymore. Call your local animal shelter to or cat rescue and ask them for advice I think if they don’t have a lot going on they will try to come and capture them. Other than that get creative with your trapping technique. Create funnels. I have always heard mothballs will help keep them out of certain areas, have yet to try it but they are cheap so it’s worth a shot.

I hope you all are talking about feral cats and not some little girls pet cat that wandered away? Killing traps and bullets don’t seem to know the difference.

greetings Well for my 62 birthday on the 18th April i bought something that would be just dandy for your problem. A catapult, yes i have gone back to my childhood. I am useless with it at the moment but after i have spent a fortune on ball bearings to practise with then i hope to be good. My thinking. Once i retire i will still want to wander through the forest, i will not be allowed to take a gun of any description with me, and if anyone thinks i am going to see a grey squirrel and walk past doing nothing then they surely have gone cuckoo. Been at it too long to change i am afraid lol. Now this catapult is the bees knees made by the British champion 29 times, i just wish he had trained it for me before sending it out. lol At the moment i reckon i could scare your cats if not too far away, lol Regards Billy.

I treat all cats as feral if their wandering my woods or in my barns. I don’t let my dog go roaming all over the countryside unattended I expect the same from cat owners. I’d rather see baby rabbits and turkey poults out in the field instead.

Cut 1/4"-5/16" wide slots no more than 2" deep on the sides. Position slots so the bottom of the trap is on the bottom of the bucket. Put trigger towards back of bucket, and position trigger to the side so the critter brushes against it with it's side getting into the trap. if using this method, I'd pre-bait the bucket for a few nights before putting the trap out, so it gets used to going into the bucket to get the food.

Probably not the best PR for hunters and trappers...

All of these cats are living in a hoarders attic a few houses down. They climb up a pile a crap outside their house and climb in the attic through a hole.

Just remember anything going much over 900 fps will make a supersonic crack, suppressor or not. The supersonic threshold changes with temperature. Base Mach 1 is approximately 1125 fps. At -20 F, the threshold will drop to about 1025 fps. At 110 F, it will be about 1170 fps. That is why most people choose a subsonic velocity of 1060 fps as their goal, so that even when it is pretty dang cold out the shot will still be subsonic. My springer pellet rifle shoots an honest 1000 fps without the supersonic crack with lead pellets. Change over to the lightweight alloy pellets and it bridges the supersonic gap and sounds like a .22 lr.
