While I've never seen any "Amish" finishers, there's a whole bunch of Mennonites. One pump company we pour for is composed mostly of Amish lites. Great crew and hard workers. Yeah, the correct term should have been Mennonites, as these guys drive.

Just a little comment on the mesh / rebar. Made my living pouring concrete on industrial projects for 40 years, very big projects. We poured a lot of heavy duty slabs and driveways 10-12" thick with absolutely no rebar or mesh and they hold up fine for decades with massively heavy loads.
The real trick to a slab that won't fall apart on you is starting with a properly leveled and compacted base of quality materials such as crushed limestone. Think of it like this ... Lay a piece of glass on top of a smooth, flat table top and you can stand on it without damaging the glass. Now lay that same piece of glass on top of your bed mattress, stand on it and see what happens. Your slab will react similarly, a good base is key to a good slab.
Number two is having enough control joints installed at proper locations and getting them sawed in before the slab cures out. You should saw cut immediately after finishing, soon as you can walk on the slab. Your slab will crack, so make it crack at the control joints.

When this virus scare is over (and it will get over) the stock market will take off like a sky rocket. The economic foundation is very good in this country. If your job is assured I'd go for it.. Couldnt have said it better myself. The market and economy aren't reacting to facts they are reacting to emotion and panic. (Minus some raw goods shortages from China) People will get tired of being scared and then back to normal. Once that happens the markets will kick back into gear.
