I'm pretty well set as far as .22 rifles, but I recently came across a Belgium made Browning T-Bolt, made in about 1971, that is a fine looking rifle. It had a peep sight that was original with the gun, but I stuck a scope on it and took it out to a 50 yard range. Loaded a mag of CCI standard velocity rounds, and, after getting sighted in, it put 4 in about a 1/2 inch group. I bought it to sell, but I think that I'm gonna keep it.

Just for curiosity sake, what would you asked if you sold it? What kind of scope?

The scope that I put on it is a Nikon Buckmaster II 4X12X40. I will eventually try it out with the original peep sight.

I'm not a fan of Remington at all, and in fact, I'll never buy another Remington again, but I do have a Remington 552 Speedmaster .22 that I bought the year my twins were born, in 1980, that I've killed a ton of squirrels with. Still looks like new, but I had sling swivels installed, and it has a Leupold variable scope on it. I've thought about trading it for a bolt action .22, or even a lever action .22, but not sure I could follow thru because of the sentimental value. That sounds like a really good one though.

Gregr,
I'm not a fan of new Remington products myself, but a 552 Speedmaster from 1980 has some true value to it IMO.
I'd not sell that rifle either if I were you.
Parson,
Congrats on your find! A Belgium made T bolt from 1971 would be a great addition to anyone's collection.

Yep, the kid brother has a Remington 541 T that he had a trigger job done on, and that's a definite hole-driller! Don't know it's age, but it's old enough to have been made by folks who retired from Remington some time back now. I can't talk him into selling it to me, either.

I bought a new Browning t-bolt last January in 17hmr for going out west to shot prairie dogs. Since that trip I have decided never to buy another lift bolt rimfire rifle again. Mine is just awesome! Off bags you don't have to take your head off the stock to load up the next shot or really even standing. You can rack in a new round and keep an eye on your target. You can really fly thru some ammo as well. I may get one in left hand for shooting off the bags or sticks as then you wouldn't have to move your trigger hand off the stock.
