A little bittersweet! My wife and I are very proud of our son-in-law and grateful for his service. He’s a Second Lieutenant, Medical Services in the Army. Having completed his Bachelors in Neuroscience this spring at IUPUI he then headed to Officers school in Texas. With 11+ years he decided it best to make the Army his career. Now deployed to Eastern Europe, my wife and I will be helping with our daughter (his wife) and 4 young kids. I’ve already spent some quality time just sitting with the youngest 3 and reading to them. They love the attention. My wife is especially great with them! We’ve known this was coming. However, I’m having a bit of a tough time processing this. Could be a long 8 months.

Tell your son in law "thank you for your service" from all of us here!
And tell your daughter "thank you" from us as well. I've always heard being a military spouse is the hardest job in the military.
