I know some of you follow Small Acre Hunting so you know I downed a buck Saturday...but figured share to the friends here on the forum as well. Hit the tree Saturday (11-2-19) despite the internal mindgame I had to do to myself to hit the tree as weather has NEVER lined up with my very limited time to hunt this year on the property that holds my true top two targets (new job, baby and house move/sell)...but given very limited time is an issue I hit the tree. Took my entire camera set up, so once video is edited I'll share for any that desire to know...but the 2nd or 3rd best buck at this property walked out and couldn't pass up the chance; especially with camera rolling (first harvest caught on cam). I still have my reduction zone tag, so I'm waiting for weather to permit I chance the true #1 and #2 overall across all my properties...hopefully I'll have a story about that at a later date. This joker came out with 4 does around 6:30 and posted up at 21 yards and expired just out of sight down the ditch line in about 3 feet of water. Few pictures, little man stole the show the next day LOL C10 8 by Ty Miller, on Flickr C10 10 by Ty Miller, on Flickr IMG_20191103_174550_804 by Ty Miller, on Flickr C10 2 by Ty Miller, on Flickr C10 5 by Ty Miller, on Flickr C10 3 by Ty Miller, on Flickr

Congrats.... looks like a nice P&Y deer.... you put a tape on it yet? Actually did just last night, conservatively on a few measurements he taped out at only 125 5/8. His beam length is what hurt him the most and his lengths aren't anything amazing. Thanks greg!

Nice deer, nice photographs. Thanks, we (pops and I) see photos as another part of the memories and I try all I can to ensure their quality is on par with the memory (nothing replaces the hunt but good photos definitely can help). Appreciate the kind words...I'll grab the hilarious image of him in the red rider wagon getting rolled out to the photo spot. It was hilarious seeing a deer basically posed (overnight rigor set in) riding a wagon LOL

No derogatory purpose behind that, I think he eyeballs better than some would assume...also few of the head angles make him appear a tick bigger I think.

Great buck and even better pics. Takes time to pose the deer correctly, but when the pics turn out like that it’s well worth it. I’ll be one who is awaiting the video. Not easy to self film a kill.

Appreciate the kind words, and the prep for the photos all starts the night prior making sure they'll stay cold (stuff with ice if necessary and pose them then. Makes next morning so much easier! First edits and saving of video is done...will go through and tweek it today. Should be able to share tomorrow.

Haha, yeah the pic where his head is up and you're not holding it is a little creepy LOL. But you're right, good pictures are worth the effort and something I'm trying to get better at.

Those ones always look hilarious at times...but better than the stick shoved against their head to do that like we used too LOL! Here is a funny part of when you do that the night before...you can literally lift the deer and it will nearly stay completely in pose while riding a wagon over to the spot LOL 20191103_134736 by Ty Miller, on Flickr
