Cold front passing through after 2 days rain and temps dropping 20 plus degrees to below freezing. Friday morning should be great and all weekend good for seeking and chasing. It's a perfect storm for daytime movement.

Sure hope so - I'm hunting Friday! Been having some interesting hunts but haven't seen a single decent buck yet. Hoping I find the right spot or the right time or whatever I've been doing wrong now that they're up and moving...

My daughter's boyfriend hit a doe this morning. Several deer including a buck ran in front of him. What a way to start a day.

I sat at home today and I will tomorrow. Time for all day sits starting Friday. Gonna be cold. Calling for a real feel of 16 degrees. Rain tomorrow and high winds will hold them down a bit calling for gust to 30-35. Should start break loose Friday. Time to hit them best stands.

Finally got out to scout yesterday for a quick look at familiar spots. Found three scrapes near an open spot where they consistently pass. Think I'll try to get in there tomorrow and set up my pop-up blind and anchor it in, maybe brush around it a little. Haven't given a blind a serious try since some trespasser stole my first one a few years ago from the same ridge.

I plan on going out friday morning. I got a new to me bow in the mail today. If I can get the feel of it tomorrow I'll take it out for a test run.

I got out yesterday evening and the movement was excellent. I believe that trend is going to continue for a while now. Of course we are moving into the chasing part of the game and that can be feast or famine from one day to the next.

Weather app has rain ending shortly BUT as front comes through it will be windy this afternoon and tonight 20-30 mph with falling temps. Supposed to be passed by morning with 7 a.m. winds out of WSW at 5-7 SO pretty favorable conditions for tomorrow and not such much today and this afternoon. Good luck all.

The plan is to swing from a tree after work tomorrow till dark. Really thinking about going to the stand on the edge of the bedding area.
