Live from the house.... I heard a shot North of here at 8:15 am, hazy out, will be out this evening and down South tomorrow evening at the farm. Lets see how correct the weather dudes and gals are, some are saying 3"-6" snow for Sunday night thru Monday night, others are saying It's too far out, we don't know. Got some running around to do this morning, then in the woods by 2pm.

Been in the evening stand since 2:00. Good sized tree 10 yards in front of my stand rubbed up pretty good, and its fresh. Theres been a buck in here all season tearing these trees up. I hope to intercept him this afternoon.

Woody, this is your FINAL warning...😡🤣🤣🤣 You can't fire Woody. That would be like going to McDonalds and firing Ronald McDonald.. That's funny right there, I don't care who you are lmao

Man, hadnt checked cameras in a while. Absolute hammer on cam 12/5. I'll have to check again at home but looked to be a main frame 8 with double split brows and a kicker.
Anyway, tucked in the exact spot i was in when i shot my buck. Hopefully pressure has let up some and deer hit the corn before dark.

Well we just slipped in about 20 minutes ago. I had to work until Noon, yee haw. Kinda on the fence about this evening when we pulled up and saw 4 vehicles back here. Pulled the card and I'm getting more activity but mostly around 10:30 at night and it's perfect because of them being slick heads. I do have 2 daytime pics of a slick head, but at a little after 9am. We're coming back tomorrow for an all day event, so my fingers are crossed.
Update on that private ground I mentioned about, land owner changed his mind for 1 reason or another and backed out of the offer. I'm very disappointed, but I guess that's why it's called " Life ".

Running and gunning tonight with a chair and bipod. Working a corner where I saw a herd come out earlier in the week. Good news that wind is right, bad news that farmer is discing the field right now. Hopefully the deer stage up before dark.

Think I have heard more shots this afternoon than this whole year put together.
BTW, where does one get a 3 shot semiauto muzzleloader? Or maybe it was a bolt action repeating muzzleloader. I just know I could not load and fire 3 that fast with reloads laid out on a table! Hopefully whoever was not deer hunting.

Forgot this from yesterday. This joker was looking at me load my VW on the way to go get that doe. Didn't know if it was a good omen or a tease. We know now flic.kr/p/2hZjMdD

No luck this AM. Sat down and about 20 minutes later I start hearing deer blowing. Pretty rapid so I assume more than one, they do this for a span of over 15 minutes but slower rate and never sounds like they were moving I figure bedded down. It get light and I see something small coming up the hill. There's two of them. One sits back because it seen me digging for my phone and the second one in a blind spot with the tree in front of me starts walking up the blow down tree I planned to use as a shooting rest for a deer for the day.
My first encounter with Bobcat's... Pretty sure it was a first for it too. Anyways I posted the video on the Facebook page for Hunt Indiana. Turn the volume up it was growling at me. I decided not to move because I figured the deer we're still bedded across the ravine. I probably should have moved...

Got off work in time for a few hours slow again not one deer nor one shot That makes 6 outings with out one deer seen makes me wonder why I didn’t take one during bow and shotgun when I had the chance always holding out for something bigger and I’m not even a horn hunter just want a freezer full of deer 🦌

I'm hunting two different spots where there are fresh ribs, and the place I hunted this evening, all the trees are torn up. I have been hunting this spot in the evening due to the side of the trees that are rubbed, it looks as though the direction of travel is off a bed and to feed, but I haven't seen or heard this deer. I may hunt the same stand in the morning, maybe I'm wrong and hes going from feed to bed? I knew I should have bought some game cameras, I'd have his picture and know exactly when hes coming through.

On the ground, and started watching one go the direction it shouldn't. So got twisted around, and had gun on it, but couldn't get a clear shot. Peeked over my shoulder where they SHOULD BE, and 2 already got past me. Dang it!!! I got turned around and gun on bipod, but had branches in the way. So I straightened back out and set up where they should be coming from. A few minutes later, 1, then 2, then 3, but they came into the woods straight into me. Afraid they were gonna bust me at 25yd, I let #1 have it!!! Dropped in its tracks and I count 5 tails taking off. So, saw total of 9 tonight, with one antlerless down, woohoo! Took a lot of zooming but im pretty confident in my initial impression. Im guessing he is 5 and I think I know where he beds at that property. Im not even going to bother hunting him next year, if he is bedding there he will die of old age or some hunter will randomly get lucky during the rut. Eta: Just noticed the year is wrong on my camera.

Just been a good season. Put in a lot of time and a ton of driving! Lifetime license helps with price of tags. Blessed to have access to a couple great spots this year!
