What is your favorite tool? You can’t pick a tool that someone else says. Mine are channel lock tongue and groove pliers.

That depends on the job. You'd have a heck of a time finishing concrete with those. Here's my favorite tool. So far it's gotten the job done every time it was brought out to do a certain job.

Hammer. No job can be complete until the hammer comes out.

I wouldn’t have as hard time finishing concrete with my 15$ pair of channel locks as you would with that rifle though 😂 Doesn’t matter which job if you are a mason and you love a trowel then that’s your favorite tool or if you are duff and need something to walk around and chew on you’ll probably have better luck with a clipboard than the hammer meena mentioned.

Hatchet/Axe. I probably have well over 50 of them. A draw knife was a close second. I collect and use those as well.

Myself. All tools are worthless without knowing how to use it.

Best tool EVER....your common sense!
I seldom use this tool or use it very well. Typically I find myself in some stupid predicament and THEN realize that I didn't use that tool between my ears very well. That is when my wife shows up and then proceeds to tell me how stupid I am!
Actual tools: Chainsaw - great habitat tool to create cover or food. Front end loader - great for anything that needs pushed, scooped, carried or lifted. Good light - gotta be able to see what doesn't work or won't work after your done screwing with it. BFH (Hammer) - It's already broke or doesn't fit....whack it! Grinder - Used when hitting it doesn't work....make it smaller. Torch - again when hitting it doesn't work....also know as a smoke wrench at our house. Air compressor - great tool to facilitate other tools (grinders, cutting wheels, impact tools, even paint guns.....to hide the pounding, cutting and grinding marks! Cell phone - #1 - take a picture of it BEFORE you whack it, cut it, grind it.....your going to need to show the parts guy what you HAD! You will also need the picture to see how it WAS installed...because you WILL put it in backwards and blow it up, burn it up or otherwise destroy the brand new one. #2 - for making a phone call. Call either the professional...since you have really screwed it up.....OR for calling 9-1-1....because you really screwed YOU up in the process!

I second the cell phone for pictures. Take a picture of how the belt was routed on the mowing deck, etc. before you take it off. ESPECIALLY if you won't be putting the belt back on the same day you took it off.

My current job I’m not allowed to have cellphone it was a brutal process getting used to actually drawing diagrams and such.

ESPECIALLY if you won't be putting the belt back on the same day you took it off. Yes, without any doubt. When I started managing residential construction in 1998 it was a constant exercise in aggravation. Go out to the houses and take notes. Go back to the office and attempt to call contractors, suppliers, etc. Then the flip phone was introduced. Much better. Fast forward to the Galaxy Note and stylus pen. I can take a photo, screenshot blueprints from the company database, etc.. and then draw notes on the screen. Other than experience, it is absolutely the most valuable tool in my not-toolbox. I do almost all scheduling via text. Having undisputable records of communication has both saved and burned my a$$. Other than the phone, my $30 Kershaw EDC knife gets used numerous times a day, whether at work or at home on the weekend. For the record, I had and lost a very nice Microtech OTF. Other than the OTF feature, which Microtech has absolutely perfected, the Kershaw is a better knife at 10% of the cost.
