I've been smelling a gasoline odor when my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 is parked. It runs fine.. (obligatory knock on wood)..,but when I park it emits gas vapors. Looking underneath it appears a hose (vent line?) from the tank has rusted through and is hanging loose. I'm certainly no mechanic, but simple fixes I'll attempt.. Thanks in advance for any help. -Ron

I just recently changed the gas tank, pressure sensor valve, and hoses on my old F-150. Wasn’t too bad really. Either need to drop tank or take the bed off. Depending on location or hose you may be able to wiggle things off and on without doing either of those. Just be careful if it’s rusty. I started by just taking hoses off and part of the tank was really rusted and broke off inside the hose. Hence, why I just replaced it all.

Sounds like a return line.

Start truck look underneath at rusted line if no gas is coming out I’d say vent line cut install rubber hose between
If leaking repaire with OEM part or likes most return lines still have some pressure on them
