I started playing pickleball last fall and I'm addicted. I love the game. We have 12 very nice outdoor lighted courts in Lafayette to play on. Just wondering if anyone else plays. Everyone I know that tries it ends up loving it.

I haven't yet but I think I would really like it. We get some serious badminton games going at our family gatherings. We play on concrete and use tennis rackets. I broke my foot and my dad broke a rib playing.

Ironically, I played for the first time yesterday evening. I will honestly say I didn't love it...I didn't hate it either. The scoring can be rather confusing and led to some frustration for me. Also, the guy that was showing us how to play called me out saying that I need to change my serve a little because I was hitting the ball above my waist. That's fine, except, so was he and that drove me nuts that it was ok for him to do it but not me! The other thing I didn't like is that you don't get near the workout playing it like you do playing tennis. I never got winded during a point and when I play tennis I get winded on nearly every point. I wanted to get more of an aerobic workout from it. I would imagine playing in a group with 3 other decent players maybe the intensity would go up and rallies would last longer to get more exercise out of it. I'm not going to form an opinion of the game from only playing one time though. I will continue to play and hope my enjoyment goes up. It is definitely a rapidly growing sport!

For sure you get a better when playing with better players. The scoring is confusing at first. I suggest watching youtube videos on it. If you really want a work out play singles.

So this is actually the second time I've heard of this game. I work for DirecTV. The first time I heard about it I was installing a system in an RV at a, shall I say, an alternative lifestyle campground. Seeing folks in the 70 year old age bracket playing it completely naked told me everything I ever wanted to know about playing this game. I doubt I could ever play the game without thinking about that vision so to answer your question, NO. I DON'T PLAY!!!!!!

Now as funny as you'd think that be for some reason it wasn't the funniest thing I seen that day. Dude driving around, naked for all the world to see, on a golf cart holding a tall boy. Why I thought that was way more funny idk, but I couldn't stop laughing all day about it. Customer I was at, when I was done asked, are you curious about our lifestyle? Any questions you want to ask? NOPE, absolutely not. Zero I need to know. Didn't think, anyone here that didn't vote for Roosevelt was appropriate.
