I don't mind shooting them from the bench at all. But then again, the rest takes all the recoil. BUT, since switching to a Savage Muzzleloader I didn't need to use one for private ground, and now with the new regs I use the .450 Bushmaster for public ground. So, the Tar-Hunt 12 ga may be on the market this Fall. Still haven't decided on that yet.

Of course the winner was the 3 inch lightfield elites that kick like a mule that competes in body building.

Almost forgot. I went to RK to buy more of the 3 inch lightfields cause they were hard to find closer to deer season last year. They only had 2 boxes but they were marked down to $8. They also had 2 boxes of the brenneke which was tla ckose second. They were also marked down to $8 so I bought those too.

My sons shoot the Remington Accutips and they are very accurate and the slugs are impressive looking after we recover some from the deer they don’t go completely through.

They shot a 3 inch group at 50 yards for me. They just didnt do well with that barrel. 22 inch ported, rifled mossberg made 870 barrel.

All depends on the rifling of the barrel, different makes different results.
I found the Winchester likes low velocity sabots. Either the winchester BRI or the federal sabots.
I stocked up on the federals they shot just as good and around 5-6 dollars cheaper!

A fast or slow twist rate can make a difference in a barrel with different types of ammo.
