I never could find a 1.8" die, but I place a flat washer on top of my shell holder, set the shortened case on it, and my regular .35 Rem. die will crimp them just fine.
This will work if you have no luck finding a shortened one.

I will keep that in mind. It would not be that hard to make on the lathe. I do not plan to load that many, probably like 20 or so. Still would like the die though.

There are some folks around that sell that ammo ready to go also.

The other trick is to just put the loaded round into the top of the Lee FCD a bit and crimp. This works because the FCD is activated by the cartridge holder and not the cartridge.
I close it up and put the bullet in until I feel the mouth of the brass and then just open it up a bit, barely lower the brass into the crimp die and give it a crimp.
Finding a washer or two to get the correct length difference and doing it parson's way would probably result in a bit more consistent crimp, but Ty said that my ammo shot great.
I don't crimp for my own since I use a Handi Rifle.

If you had a lathe you could just make your own custom shellholder of the correct height to just set the case on (not necessarily have to slide in like a standard shellholder) and use the FCD. No washers needed. It would just have a step up that the head would sit on to give it the extra height needed.
