I have an old co-worker that wanted to show me his woodlot. I've never seen so many ginseng plants. I wouldn't even have made a video if they weren't in a place that nobody would suspect. Indeed, I'm sure that is the only reason they are still there. ( I still asked his permission )

I used to have a lot of it....but since we logged I have not even looked for it. For a long time I had no idea what it was...nor did I even care. Turns out some folks freak out over that little plant.

Some folks do more than flip out over it. At 400 to 600 bucks a pound some will break bones for it

Some folks do more than flip out over it. At 400 to 600 bucks a pound some will break bones for it A friend of mine got a dude with a sack in his hand on a trail camera last year. The C.O.s were able to identify him, though I don't recall if anything came of it.
