Yep cold and windy; they were gobbling pretty good but have shut up for the last 10 min or so. Sounded like they went the opposite direction too

Got in the blind around 5:55 am. Sounded like a group of jakes gobbling on the roost 250 yards away. At 6:55 they all flew down and I was wrong. Three toms and 2 jakes. The lead Tom ran to my calls and decoy and strutted for 3 or 4 minutes at 15 yards before I shot! I was wondering if the others would follow and come all the way but they were content at 65 yards strutting. Fun morning!

Pretty quiet here. Heard a couple distant gobbles. Either a big bird just landed and took back off or two turkeys flew down behind me somewhere. Of course it happened 2 minutes after I stand up to relieve myself, hopefully they couldn't see me moving around.

I made a loop in the woods last couple hours and never heard a gobble. Very windy here.

We decided to move and check another field that we normally always see them in. Nothing; they seem to be sitting tight. Can’t go to where I think they are, neighbor’s property. Only heard 1 shot way off so far, very slow.

Nice video, it's not often a person will admit a miss especially on video. The mushrooms were a nice added touch. Congratulations!

I heard one gobbling on the roost this morning. Headed his way to set up. He flew down eventually, but kept moving the other way. I'd follow him a ways, then sit and call, then follow, all over again. I was about to get up and move again when 4 or 5 jakes came up through the brush.
I've had terrible luck with turkeys, almost always have some sort of encounter but never sealed the deal until today. Happy to take a jake as my first turkey.

Bust again. Didn't hear any gobbling and boy got tired after an hour so we got up and looked for these so called Morales. Wish I did pack the blind out but thats a long haul. I know I'll deer hunt back there again but I'm gonna try elsewhere for turkey next year and scout new land.

Anybody can shoot an old worn out Tom, it takes a seasoned hunter to bag a wiry Jake. Congratulations!

Nephew got his first ever turkey today. After hearing nothing from the roost and seeing only a lone hen, by 930 we were ready to move spots. Tried a couple different setups and at 115 we watched a lone Jake cross the road from neighbors property onto our crop field a couple hundred yards away from us. Seemed a little wary of our Jake decoy but a steady cluck and purr brought him to 30 yards and one heck of a headache. Furthest I have ever been able to watch a turkey come in from and the added time watching really increased the excitement. Seemed like as the weather warmed up today so did the turkey activity as they were all over the fields by early afternoon. Nephew is now hooked on turkey hunting and wants to go back out with me as I try for my bird. Great day.

Hoping the rain clears out this afternoon. I don't mind a light rain but it has been pouring off and on.
