Took some time to hit the range this eve and retest a 10/22 build Ive been working on. Did the first testing back in the fall. had some difficulties with it, it had broke the extractor and the trigger went from 3 lbs to about 10lbs. Ordered a new extractor and installed, while aligning everything up I notice that the extractor was not aligning with the grove cut for the extractor on the barrel (Green Mountain). Re-cut the grove and reassembled. Also went back over the trigger group to see what caused the binding in it, found that the shim kit that I install had the group pushing to one side. Relocated the shims and reassembled. Ha back down to 3 lbs and smooth. A little more fine tuning it should be where I want it. First target,50yrds CCI 40gr. 3 shot groups Second target, 50yrds Ely Target 40gr 3 shot groups. The top group on the first target 3 shot group all in one hole.

I've got a 10/22 that hardly ever gets shot anymore.
Was just a stock carbine with a Ramline folding stock added to it. It would keep the MiniMag HP's in a single hole at 25 yards all the time. Did that for a lot of years. Even won some shooting matches with it at the local club. About 8 years ago the group suddenly opened up to about an inch or so. Bad enough to occasionally miss a squirrel. Never could figure out what the cause was, so it is now relegated to a shooting range plinker that my daughter uses.
